 Artist’s Statement
7 February 2024

I create. I am a creator. I make things, I rearrange things. I start from blank canvases, from blank sheets of paper.  I use paint, ink, clay, plaster, wood, found objects, emotions, stories, memories and inspiration. I collaborate with the universe.

I am an alchemist - finding meaning in the transmutation of things. I use vessels -sacred spaces to bring meaning, to bring form.

I’m a romantic, an affirmer of beauty and a believer that
to create is to be engaged in the mystery of ourselves and the cosmos.
 

I am a trickster, testing myself to remain open and adjusting boundaries where and when needed.

I create to see myself clearer. It is my mythology, my religion; a vehicle for
transformation.

I have been dedicated to art since a child. It was a gift on my first breath and remains so. I am grateful.

 

I share this gift with others in hope that they will feel the power, intimacy and exhilaration of creation and to experience this world is a place of tremendous depth and wonder.
